They were rude to me at office and could not care less There are newer and nicer vehicles on road i have seen them like Kea, Walkabout , United ,spoke to people in these vehicles in camping grounds i will use these next time , remember you pay peanuts you get shit . + ADD REPLY! Stin says: Myself and two mates took one away for a long weekend. We took our 4WD Spaceships FUSE into the central North Island to go fly fishing. The vehicle was ideal as it was easy to drive, we could store all our gear and fishing gear easily, cook, watch DVDs at night and access the tight bits that a larger campervan or motorhome could never go. It was a pleasure to drive and the cup holders are great for drive through McDonalds! For longer trips I would only like to sleep two people but we managed. We actually ran into another Spaceship in Rotorua and swapped DVDs which was really cool. They were slightly older and were using the Spaceship more as a car and using motels and B&Bs along the way. We had a really fun weekend away and caught a good number of trout.

We appreciated the personal helpful service both when we landed and again when we departed. The motorhome was beautiful and immaculately clean and had everything . We just completed 10 days along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria Australia in a Maui 6 berth campervan. We had a great experience, but just did not compare with the personalization that the Walkabout team provides. Also, no comparison with regard to the campervans. Took a bit to lower our expectations so we could enjoy our Aussie adventure. Kids also kept saying, \"but this isn \'t a Walkabout.\"

+ ADD REPLY! harry hardman says: i dont know what the fuck your problem is you should do your research before getting into these rental agreements. i hired one of these tui vehicles and no problems but i have hired a maui vehicle and had big problems. shit happens. the van looks old,, so does your wife! harden the fuck up! you are there to see the country not winge all fucking day! a campervan is probably not the best thing for you stick to motel rooms and rental cars.
+ ADD REPLY! Andrew Z says: Hey Mary, you\'re going to love this - we spent 42 days in one of these spaceships! Yes definitely smaller than big motorhomes but for our needs (NZ surfing holiday) the 4wd easy to drive vehicle was great. All I can say is make sure you check out all your options first and see what is the most important to you. For us it was pretty much what these offered - cooking, dvd movies, some advice on nz travel, large bed... A toilet would have been the only thing missing from our wishlist - however then we would have had to spend heaps more and drive a big clunker of a motorhome. (also - luckily NZ has heaps of toilet - all free as well) Andrew Z
+ ADD REPLY! Jody says: I have just finished a 3 week trip around NZ with my boyfriend and had a total blast. The dragon wagon was so much fun. We got lots of looks and meet so many other travellers as everyone wanted to check out our camper. So much more fun than an ordinary white one and we had a revolving disco ball in our van which was brillant! Definitely recommend getting a \"pimped\" van as it was such an experience in itself! Really friendly service too.

+ ADD REPLY! Rowe Clan - Devon UK says: I got one of these vehicles it was old and done high mileage , and beaten around , not only that the thing broke down , somethin to do with automatic , tryin to get a replacement took 2 days ,we had to hire a car , they could not really care less , stay away from this company ,we spoke to people in other campers in parks from Gateway ,Kea, Walkabout , United these were only people happy with their campers . We picked the wrong company and because it was cheap . When we returned our vehicle in Christchurch there were also others arguing they were also not happy.

+ ADD REPLY! IRIS AND VERNON says: My Husband and I hired a Madza with this company very much like the Ford economy vans. We were given excellent service, the Madza van was spotlessly clean and well maintained and the linen was lovely, cleaned and ironed. We will certainly be back with this company and highly recommed them. Once again i would like to thank them for the excellent service provided and the quailty of the vehicle supplied
